We’re currently 3 weeks away from the first flight of our round the world honeymoon and we are moving out of our house in 8 days. Somehow whilst living together for 6 years we have amassed a lot of stuff – stuff that needs to go somewhere while we travel the world for a year.
Thanks to mum and dad we’ve got some garage space to play with, but we definitely needed to cut back. So whilst planning our round the world honeymoon and wedding for the last year we have been slowly clearing out our stuff and in the process, I have developed a serious ebay obsession. Selling our stuff, even if it’s only for 99p is weirdly satisfying and I’m on first name terms with the Post Office lady now.
In the last year I made an extra £398 towards our trip on ebay.
That’s an extra:
315 beers in Vietnam,
663 bowls of Pad Thai in Thailand
2.75 bungee jumps in New Zealand!
We’re now using freecycle and friends to get rid of the rest of our furniture and are boxing up the stuff we just can’t live without. Hopefully we will be ready for moving day when the ‘rents turn up to help next Friday…
